Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using The Aux ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use The Aux. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. The Aux is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Not create multiple accounts
• Not impersonate any person or entity
• Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Cheat, scrub, or otherwise circumvent the full-listen requirement
• Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse other users
• Send spam, unsolicited exchanges, or excessive unwanted messages
• Share, transmit, or facilitate illegal content of any kind
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, decompile, or exploit the App or its APIs
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without prior written consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure

5. Music Content

The Aux does not host, store, or distribute music. The App connects to Spotify and Apple Music for song playback. You must have a valid and active subscription to those services in order to listen to songs within The Aux. We are not responsible for the availability or content of music provided by those third-party services.

6. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you create within the App (messages, comments, reactions). By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display your content to the friends you choose to share it with. You are solely responsible for the content you create and share.

7. Moderation

We provide tools to block and report other users. We reserve the right — but not the obligation — to review content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, are harmful to the community or the App.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab within the App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the Effective Date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
